Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Liquidation

I’ve never gone through a liquidation and I don’t know about anyone else out there but it is pure he-l.
I don’t think I can make it to the end. The customers are viscous and nasty.
I’ve been told off and yelled at for the past two days.
Where have all these customers been in the last few years?
We are doing Black Friday numbers every day since the announcement.
They have no respect for the people or the stores. They don’t want something they just throw it on the floor.
To anyone who is going through this good luck and basically tell them off . What are they going to do…fire you.

I work for Baby, the cashiers have been taking a beating customers are rude nasty. Sick and tired of customers wanting bigger discounts and upset they cant use their store credit. We have so many people stealing ITS A JOKE. What part of store closing gives customers an excuse to trash the store, let their kids run around throwing toys all over the place and climbing in cribs. NEVER THOUGHT the process would be so hard without any additional help un loading and stocking the store. Im going to give notice dont want to do this anymore. For all those NASTY RUDE MEAN CUSTOMERS. I SAY. BYE BYE BABY!!!!!

If you’re old enough to remember Brad Hamilton at All American Burger, then you well have a good time with those $hi++y customers. Don’t get hurt though

If you have another job or are financially sound then by all means do what you gotta do.
If you're living paycheck to paycheck suck it up it will stop you from collecting unemployment

I went through this with PharMor. But that was in 1992, so I don't remember much, other than the ABC Primetime "What happened to PharMor" doc looked like a live moving version of the double Spiderman meme.

However, one of my co-workers came from Steinmart, and a couple others came from Toys'R'Us.

There are people just wandering out of 53 with no purchases as well. Unsure if Hilco has taken over or just the usual clown ASMs. . One or two would be a good find for another company and deserve better in terms of floor people, but truly the good managers left years ago.,

The customers are vultures. They only want you when you are dying.
