They are doing this because several project managers and IT business liaisons have been found to be working 2 jobs.....he-l, we should just fire those folks for time theft instead of keeping them on and installing surveillance software on everyone's hardware

So many google search graduates here. Or is this the exec team . Hurry up and get gone. Hayford , since you were elected to an advisory board to the president , ya need to fess up and tell him you are not qualified at even sweeping crumbs under a carpet . Let alone giving your advice.

Instead of this back-and-forth, why don’t you just tell us which monitoring software is installed.

CTRL+alt+del, task manager, processes…
… or the Mac alternative!

Everything else is just hearsay.

None of this is happening. I know plenty of forgotten employees who are still employed here.

Again, if your manager wants to monitor you, they can focus right in on you using all the devices they own, nothing is off limits. Like I said it’s unethical, but they do it.

Some of these reactions are funny. NCR builds employe monitoring features into software that it sells to its retail customers.

No they aren’t. They broke. Won’t spend a few bucks on essentials, theyre definitely not doing this. They would have to pay for the software, contd license and an IT staffer. They won’t even pay for laptops that have broken down and been used for 5 years (often give new employees refurbished laptops that have been passed down 3 or 4 times), they don’t even pay for phones and make their employees use personal phones for business work. Don’t worry, this is not happening.

NCR monitors everything and anything on any device they own, best to power it off at end of shift, and not power it back on until you’re back on shift. It’s to a point of being un ethical.
