Thread regarding Ford layoffs

News of terminations at GM and Stellanis…

They were both profitable, when Ford lost money. Why is Ford silent about the 10,000 salary terminations that are required to return to profitability???

@irjj, and so you say,
that it must be tomorrow,
unless they are ok,
to terminate today !

I'm mentally preparing to get cut tomorrow . . .

As I contemplate the Ford situation the scene from the movie Meatballs where Bill Murray does the “it just doesn’t matter” speech comes to mind.

It won’t matter what Ford does. We all know the screwball management team will once again chose to preserve their own careers and empires over what’s best for the company. The same conversations and perpetual layoffs will occur until the company goes under. Worker bees will look around and see the bulk of their colleagues getting paid to sit and twirl and will join the twirling and cheering brigade, more worker bees will be hired, and so goes life at Fords.
