They treat us badly because they know they can. How many people do you know who say that they won't agree to be worked to burnout, and then put their heads down and do triple workloads? There are too many of those here. Unfortunately, people neglect their health.

I stopped putting in more work after I got passed over for promotion. Worked my a&& off and it got me zero. So I sit and collect my pay, waiting for the right time to exit (hopefully in the next layoff).
Maybe you can figure out what my counterparts are doing every day. From what I can tell they make 6 figures doing absolutely nothing.

It's not unique to T-Mobile. Hustle culture is prevalent all over the place. It took me many years to realize I was giving too much of myself and that I needed to manage my own energy more effectively. Companies will take and keep taking as we sacrifice endlessly, only to kick us to the curb later. Instead we should seek out ways to maximize our impact with the finite energy we have to give.
