On the verge of burnout

Many say very confidently that they would never allow themselves to be overworked to the point of burnout, and then they go and do the workload of several people. Obviously, it's not so easy to refuse adding more to your plate and keep your job?

I burned out about 6 months ago. I've slowly started adding more and more time to my project timelines and feel a lot better about where I am personally. The rest of our BU is in shambles though because "so and so wants this" and "so and so wants that" but they're all middlemen and don't do any actual work. Just demand work out of others. Finally coming around to this idea of quiet quitting.

@1luz+1mjI27BI I think the poster means that hybrid model is a plus.

I went up multiple levels of management late last year, early this year reiterating thag I was burning out and that I kept getting too many projects added to my plate. I was told that I needed to have a better attitude and pull some extra weight if I wanted a chance at a promotion. Then I was laid off. I’d get out while you can , they don’t care about burnout at all

They went from expectation of two days in office, the three and now rumors of 4. Meanwhile they took peoples desks away. Feels botched to me.

I past burn out after the last two reorgs. Then the shenanigans the last few weeks including how they are botching their “hybrid model” and they are losing my desire to go over and above anymore. Does the company actually do anything nice for their people anymore? Certainly not a top company to work for anymore. Discouraged…
