Belk passed away at her home in Charlotte at age 135. She had been fighting illness for the past 7 years, but was keeping her terminal diagnosis quiet. One a booming retailer, she was sold out from under herself when the family decided to retire in 2015. She was placed in a senior care home named Sicko No More, but that proved to be unsuccessful, as Belk took a dramatic decline over the next seven years. She is survived by her sister Kim Rogers, brother Alfred Dunner, grandchildren Wonderly, Kari Blue, and their children Crown and Ivy. Funeral services will by held at Sycamore Mortuary, officiated by Reverend Don Hendricks and Chaplain Lisa Harper.
