Everyone is expecting a big announcement on Tuesday now. Significant job losses, huge restructuring. I think (hope!) rather than a random number we will actually get some substance behind it to see where that number is coming from

Can only hope for some real decisions and a a real plan. More of the same BS from HQ will only be a worse outcome as it truly shows leadership has not a clue.
The early Imation spinoff was dubbed ‘Newco’ by the employees. I wonder what ‘SpinCO’ will ultimately be named.
Why didn’t they simply name it 3I?
That would be genius.
This reminds me of the summer of 1996, the trauma all over again.
I remember waving 👋🏻 goodbye to 12,700 “Imation designees” shuffling out of 3M for the last time. I’ll never forget the look of grief and pain on their faces, and 3Ms professed undying gratitude for them.
Little did they know how this new adventure would ultimately unfold. Floptical was a cruel prediction of how this journey would end.
On a positive note, the Imation name was very clever- a genius level skillfully crafted combination of the words imaging, information, and imagination.
Prepare to ugly cry.
