Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Yearly bonuses

I heard a rumor that they’re getting rid of the yearly bonuses. Has anyone else heard this or know if there’s truth to it?

No meaningful conversation ever starts here with “ I heard a rumor”

Would save about $50 million on the twelfth floor alone if we got rid of bonuses

I heard same thing as mentioned earlier that $100 was being taken out of pay for each misspelled word...BUT... that money is then being added to MTs salary so MT is in no hurry to hire qualified folks because his pay is going up and up and up. That's what I heard

First SF auto claims woman told me after my daughter's accident that there was a problem because my daughter was not a driver in the household. Told her I was looking at my policy thru the SF app and my dtr is the rated driver on the policy and she has been since she turned 16, 12 years ago. Click. She hung up. Next guy I spoke to was just as d-mb. Finally on the 3rd try I got someone who knew what he was doing I asked where you at. He said working from home. SF your employee pool sucks so if you can only find capablefolks working from home, then ket them work from home.

Yes there are more compensation changes coming this year and I also heard they are doing away with ratings for everyone. I believe they tested that a little while back in some areas. They are also getting ready to start outsourcing some claims functions just like Allstate has done over the last several years. Pune, India is starting to be a hub for insurance companies to outsource certain operations. They are cramming everyone into 2 buildings trying to sublease out the other two buildings at CityLine but will not even own up to it even when a newspaper article comes out. Carvana just backed out of the sublease in Atlanta. They do not have enough seats for everyone in Dallas and the empty seats will only happen as they get rid of peoples jobs! They can't hire anyone in Phoenix, and Atlanta...well it is sh-thole Atlanta! SF and MT are a complete joke!

I heard they're cutting everyone's pay by 2/3 as well as charging claim handlers $100 every time a letter has misspelled words.

Well yes and no. They are about to do away with ratings for all employees like they did management a couple years back. Everyone will now just get a percentage, no rating. Performance problems will be handled as such. So now instead of getting 125% of EIP if you get a 4 rating, or 150% if you get a 5 rating, you will only be eligible for just the EIP bonus of 100% + modifiers. It's a way of shrinking the employee bonus. TM/SM/DM got 94% of MIP and Prof/Para got 155%! Claims got screwed worse! Of course Tipsy will still get his $22 million dollar bonus and we all know that won't change or will just go up even more! SF is in a bad spot....has space in all three hubs they can not sublease out, hiring just pure trash employees, no one want's to be in-office, agent's robbing them blind, and still finding ways to get rid of the pension and layoff any remaining high salary employees or outsoure! Enjoy!

It makes sense to cutoff bonuses given tipstard has to pay himself $25 million and support another $20 BILLION operating loss.
