Our manager posted “business update”meeting for the entire dept. if it isn’t a lay off - how awful a title to use to instill so much fear knowing people know that means “layoff”. Are they doing dept layoffs all at the same time? Any

I had a 1:1 today with my manager, basically to prepare my for yearly goals, update my milestones . TBD no idea when they would be due. IDK ... LOL go figure. Welcome to MDT
I guarantee that its your manager talking about the plan in general and answering whatever questions he can

My manager scheduled a one on one with me today with the same subject line only to tell me my job is safe. I did nothing for most of the day because I was certain I was going to be let go. Lol.
Possible that either your manager is getting laid off and informing the team, or someone on your team has been laid off or your whole team is laid off.
Was anyone left off the email or any new people invited?
