name?
People should get a medal for surviving her leadership
The Consulting leader was fired last week so seems this thread had some truth to it.
What's more surprising is that they still use photo copier there?!
Ahhh!!! This must be the incident involving a photocopier, some Vas---ne and a very curvacious consulting lady after hours that was captured on CCTV. It's hilarious.
Hmmphh. They drink the Kool-Aid in the Middle East, just like all IBM locations.
Don't think I'd want to move to a country like Saudi Arabia whose leader chops up his detractors into little pieces.
How about how the GBS leader screams at people when we walk into their area? .
The behavior of one person doesn’t mean that all Saudis are like this but everyone is talking about the craziness in the office there. I was in the Dubai office a few weeks back to discuss moving and after hearing about the cr-p going on there. No way!
The Consulting boss there is well known to be totally unhinged.
People making bad comments about the Saudis are plain wrong. This country has been changing fast in the past 4 years. For the best. Saudis are very nice, foreigners are most welcome. Just go there to see for yourself. Business is booming there for IBM.
Racism. Abuse. Bullying. Threatening.
Come on let's hear some stories.
Maybe due to US but the place seems to be off the company grid and the lunatics have taken over the asylum.
I heard about lots of incidents. Everyone in Dubai office talks about them and dreads having to go there. Batshit insane stuff that nobody would believe.
US relations with Saudi is in shambles these day, making doing business there unprofitable.
Quitting Saudi because of the management behavior not because of the country. I heard nice feedback about Saudi and Saudi people.
Quitting Saudi is not unusual...you're compensated extremely well for your time and effort, but it can be a very restricted working and living environment (socially speaking) in comparison to western countries. It's easier if you stay within the company compounds (depending on your company of course), but once you leave the compounds you are at the mercy of Saudi (and Sharia) law and culture.
One of our managers here moved to Saudi to be an account partner. He quit after just two weeks.
Curious, what stories? I was in the Riyadh IBM office a few weeks back and everything seemed just fine. Actually, business appears to be booming there.
