Thank you for the reasoned response to that annoying little OP. (Insert appropriate pro-noun) runs around hair on fire. I guess it's their idea of fun, whilst calling out this punk is mine
Are you not noticing increased micro-management, rebalancing of teams etc etc...all point to layoffs approaching soon
I'm an R&D manager in CB and have not noticed this. There have been no efforts toward this where I can see.
CB is a terrible product so this is not surprising. You should feel better about companies that shed garbage.
This seems to be the standard answer to people that are blocked from doing unnecessary things on their corporate system. It's the policy, not the product. If VMware's configured security policy is impacting you, reach out to SecOps. They can make exclusions for necessary work needs.

No... not sure how you could come to that conclusion?
SBU is already acting as a separate BU. The layoffs were sales related. The layoffs occurred outside SBU as well.
Stupid question - does Carbon Black operate independently like Tanzu does?/
CB just brought marketing inhouse. Not sure they will be impacted this round.
Tanzu is a bit of a mystery. They could be next but Hock Tan loves Tanzu.
Yeah, indeed
How many people were laid off?
When do you think marketing teams will be hit?
Surprised and confused about why Tanzu's sales team has not been largely impacted yet. There are only a handful of people carrying the whole BU sales-wise.
It could mean that the deal is further away. Cutting costs could lower the impact on the stock if things don't happen.
