Amongst everything going on in the company they force us back to office and they can't even keep up with the bare minimum for cleanliness. Bathrooms are maybe cleaned twice a week with broken sinks, no soap, and sewer issues. Only vacuuming the main halls while the cubes stay dirty. We received a new space in Mounds View and the cubes have crusted and dried food on them. Dead bugs and piles of dust next to the windows. This place is gross.

The cleaning issue was there pre pandemic. It was around the time they got rid of our individual garbage cans and went to one larger one for everyone to share. That was when garbage was picked up twice a week, if I recall correctly. We always pushed the can around because the smell was so bad and no one liked the sitting by dumpster smell. It was nasty. The bathrooms were not being cleaned and toilet paper and fe--s was all over. This was at Mounds View in the IT areas. It reminded me of a 3rd world country.
My team had no docking stations to work today. We had to track some down from the other places. How are we supposed to be inoffice 3 days a week if we can't even co-locate?
Found name plates of people who left 1-2 years back still hanging on the office doors and cubes at OHQ! That’s Geoff’s way of saying ‘We let you go but don’t forget you!’ ;-)
Biggest issue I hear, "I don't like hotel cubes" well come in 4 days a week and get a real cube. IMHO
RTO is just a way for Medtronic to push people out without paying their severance.
The people that say 'Quit' if you don't like it is what I meant to say. They're just trolls.
The negative posts are from people that never worked here. They don't know what they're talking about.
These were several cost savings initiatives that started before working from home became a thing, including fewer housekeeping visits, cutting back on restroom supplies, and eliminating individual wastebaskets and recycling bins.
I don't understand the comments to quit. I don't mind coming to office and enjoy working closely with my colleagues but I do mind working in a dirty work space. Of all the things to cut costs on cleanliness is not one.
If I recall correctly, I think they picked up garbage from director and higher-up offices every day.
When I worked in Mounds View they went from individual waste baskets to communal waste bins, maybe one for every 12 people. It often got to be a stinky mess. If a director's office door is open, toss your garbage in their office. While you're at it, burn some popcorn or microwave a fish dinner and throw that in with it.

Hi, Geoff!
Show up and do the bare minimum like others working from home. I can see why Medtronic got into such a mess! Working from home has been destroying the company, now people who do come to work look like unhappy robots walking the halls. What a joke. Wish all the negative, unhappy people would quit so people who actually want to be positive and come to work and get things done could work with like minded individuals instead of people bashing Medtronic who don't want to be here.
Don’t quit. Just show up and do the bare minimum.
I agree, quit then!
Quit.
