Thread regarding Ford layoffs

No sense of stability

I don't think the situation here will stabilize any time soon. You? I used to feel much safer, but that was long time ago.

No corporate job is safe today, no matter what industry one is in. Employees are considered disposable. My 2 cents, make sure you get as much meaningful experience and training you can apply outside of Ford within your current job. Treat your job as they treat you, it's a job, not a career. Look out for your best interests in ensuring you are always viable outside of the company.

If you think you're safe, you're not. I don't care who you are, or what level you're at, or what dept you're part of.

Feeling safe is nonexistent when the CEO makes the employees scapegoats. Also, if you have been at Ford for awhile, they want you out and have fresh blood. As if that is supposed to change the culture.

Funny thing is….how long has Farley worked at Ford? Shouldn’t he oust himself?

I second that to stop caring. Everything is so fake, why bother caring about it? When the direction of the auto industry is being heavily subsidized and coerced by the federal government, do not expect anything good to come of it. Just like how the Soviet Union used to make cars that were heavily influenced by the political commissar? Yeah, they were all piles of sh-t. No different than this EV push, we are living under modern day Soviet tactics in the United States.

I’ve stopped caring and just get lost in work. Work politics has gotten out of control and outside of maybe setting up some one on ones to network I’m done caring about all that bs. Keeping busy makes it easier to not deal with the bs
