Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Better to light a candle

There is an old saying that it is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. For the past few weeks I have been lighting a candle each night at dinner table as a symbol of hope for Belk workers and Belk survival for this company. If the rumor is true that Don Hendricks the current Belk CEO will be stepping down the end of this year, this is an opportunity for Belk is changing and get out of darkness for good. It is better to do something and no matter how small or minor that can improve a boring and toxic working condition at all Belk retail company right now. Most of all the message is so clear that Belk top executive leaders and many greedy Sycamore Partners executive Hedge Fund CEOs! Stop whining and blame Belk workers and many Belk retail stores for not making goals and profits for Sycamore Partners.
Top executive leaders don’t plan to fail, they just fail to plan a good business strategy to make Belk a better place to work! Do something about it and improve rather than leave us in the dark. We work and operate Belk everyday like a candle in the wind. Better to light a candle of hope at Belk today than to curse the darkness! Hope Belk executive read and think about this message!
