Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Consumer Brands worth significant value

Leaders that have never led at these levels! Catch phrases like “consumer centric” but with Leaders that don’t understand consumer business. Reduction of divisions leading to lack of focus and lack of business through prioritization! Lack of growth for years and the lab has delivered the “nothing burger!” Sell the Brands while it’s still has value!

I think I read in an earlier post the 3M brand is worth almost US$10 billion. The Scotch and Post-It brands (and others) have to be worth at least a few billion each.

We need to invest on brands as they are hart od 3M. Consumers knows more Scotch than 3M. Like they know Google instead of Alphabet.

We can sell small brand names and focus on the core growth. I can’t imagine sellling post it brand and still be a lider in office supply.

I wish you were Romans strategy person because that’s a strategy! Increase 3M’s cash like needed by selling some brands while increasing stock price and those resources would be happy to work for a consumer company rather than the current mess.
