Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Claims freezing posting out for the rest of the year.

So got notified today that claims is in such a bad place, that all segments of claims are stopping posting out to other jobs outside of claims for the rest of the year. We never discuss why claims is always in such a bad shape , or what leadership is going to do to fix them.

The 1980s are not coming back. Your idea of a business cycle is some misplaced nostalgia. Thanks for playing decades ago.

The results seem to indicate huge mistakes were made in laying off of claims professionals for poorly trained new folks. Its not the new folks fault that they didnt get training needed to do the job well. My first TM told me it would take 5-7 years to develop into a good claim rep. Darn if she wasnt right. How is the company going to recover if they arent willing to train the folks that do the actual work of insurance?

Yeah, so you can basically go into leadership in claims. Not a good solution for the mess that claims is in.

I was just told about this as well, but I was told it is for all lateral movements. You can still apply for higher pay grades.
