Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Unfair criticism

My manager is critical like never before. No matter how good you are at your job, it's no longer good enough. I don't think I'm the only one impacted by this though, I realized from conversations with colleagues that they are also under the tremendous pressure, receiving more criticism and facing greater expectations than ever. What do they really want from us? It seems to me that it is about forcing employees to leave on their own, but I am still interested in your experiences, whether something similar is happening to you as well.

Managers at State Farm are coached and vetted heavily on legally how far they can legally push people, and what they can get away with. I have managerial meeting notes I keep above my desk framed as of a reminder never to work for a corporation again. Rule #1 is literally never be accepting of previous results good or bad.

Most of you will put up with this for most of your lives. Sad Pepe face man. Life is rough for the majority.

What they want is people who don't complain no matter how unreasonable they treat you- they say "Just be glad you have a job" so stay in your place you ungrateful slob while they promote the boot lickers and their personal hires who they control completely.

Happens all the time in injury, I blow away metrics and then I get asked to work other CS claims. Our staffing is terrible and we never address this issue. Time for another round of bonuses in claims.
