Here is a new low...potentially delaying terminations and payouts.

"You will receive a copy of your separation agreement to sign via DocuSign up to a few weeks passed your termination date, to your personal email we captured during your notification."

Mdt is already telling us laid
Off they may delay the separation agreement by weeks after the termination date. They can’t even do that right. Just trying to hold onto money longer .

Still haven’t heard about who was affected by the RIFs in Europe/ other countries with work councils. Will probably know June/July.

I think Medtronic will not have to worry about June-Jul-Aug layoff - seasonal (post MIP) cycle will take care of lot this time. I am personally aware of at least- 3 people getting ready to jump ship.

I do know those who were involved in the " VREP and layoffs" will not be replaced. Not even by temps. Those of us left will have to pick up the slack.

To the question below. You view your employees costs as a non value add, while M&A is a value add. Medtronic could have hired another 1000 people if they wanted to instead of layoffs, but they don't see the value in it.

I am not a finance or business person. Question: how do you lay off so many people (cost reduction) but then immediately but a new company for $738 M? Help me understand, please. Thanks.

The only people who need to be laid off are excomm. I hope they know about this site and know everyone hates them.

Pretty high. If there is another layoff, the executives need to be let go.

How much more people can be let go? Departments are already spread pretty thin.

Geoff did the VREP and layoffs to improve Non-GAAP earnings and fixing the EPS story. Guess what, the street did not buy that story!

So now Geoff will try even harder to cling on to his multi-million $ salary by forcing another restructuring and layoffs!

He will keep doing this till he achieves $55 for MDT share!

And isn't it sad that May is not yet fully over and I'm already worried about next month?
