But yeah, guess it at least helps the company pay DG his millions in bonus. If only that was cut, it would probably have saved a few people's jobs.

@1btf+1mMVgvoE, leadership won't say cr-p. In the AHM, they even indirectly discouraged people to talk about it. They don't even have courtesy to wait for another 6 months knowing that the second half of FY24 things will be better. Industry knows this but they still cut anyways. Hopefully they turn around hire those people back. Three people I know of spent more than 10 years working for the company, but that don't matter. They better understand why employees don't have loyalty and dedication they expect.
I know this, so that's why I just clock in, put 8 hours, and clock out. They want more, they gotta pay me more.

You would think if you are working on second or third most important project you would be safe. The project is behind but they're laying off the people. I guess the worst has yet to come?

I wouldn't be surprised to hear there is more coming in Aug (or planned shutdowns). These RIFs seems be a once a qtr thing now.

I feel Irvine site is quiet. I didn't hear anyone I know was affected.

My friend from the Fremont site called me this morning, she was devastated had over 25+ years working for WD...these layoffs devastate families.

I was just in Great Oaks Building A1. I saw a large container filled with brand new boxes (presumably, for laid off employees to use to pack up their personal belongings).
Flash BU: someone just sent a farewell email. The person was in an important project too.
In Irvine I saw someone walking out with a box on my way in this morning. I also heard some people talking about needing more boxes in the office today.
