You lay off and get rid of anyone below you who might have a different but better idea and make you look d-mb and this is what you get
Slick Nick is one name that I’ve heard him called. It appears that 3M is hiring a few people for upper management positions from Tier 2 automotive suppliers. Quite the fall from grace.
I thought there was a hiring freeze.
Hopefully not just a yes man to tire man but someone who actually understands manufacturing and supply chain.
Maybe Nick didn't read this forum before joining this sinking ship?
He did plant visits recently with a focus on improving safety. Automotive background prior to 3M
He’s been on the system under gibbons without a title for a couple weeks at least and his background looked like he’d be taking one of those SVP Ops positions. With him over SIBG tireman still needs to bring someone in for CBG if he stays true to what he said when they initially put the factories and LVS under the same SVP and kicked out Dahl/Houle.
Seeing Skwiat post on LinkedIn about starting at 3M yesterday when thousands are getting the axe at 3M is a bit ironic. I pity the guy a little, probably won’t take him long to realize what an awful company he’s joined.
