I heard a rumor from several people that severance pay could be cut in the future. It's just a rumor but I'm interested if there is any truth to it?

Would love to see them try this in France or Germany the works councils will chew them to bits. Have had many an argument with a US based manager as to why they can’t inflict “standard” HR practice in some EMEA territories.
