Our area was told we would get the 10% hit but still radio silence. This is maddening.

At the rate the company is going with regards to notice duration for severance, even if you wanted to train your replacement, there is no way to do so in just 2 weeks!

best thing to do now is go on paid absence for stress and take some me time for yourself, get away from the toxic environment, let mmm pay you for this and don't forget to let your manager know you will be back in six weeks
Still waiting for any news here in the heart of the Midwest. Seeing more hourly operators putting in their 2 weeks notice because of the limbo. Maybe that is what they are looking for but I believe losing the hourly operators is the LAST thing this company needs. The people are the ones making the finished product and making the money for the Company. Everyone is spending their time talking about "when" things may happen vs being focused on the job. I wonder how much loss of focus is increased our Injury/Illness in WIMs. I know that my focus isn't what it was before the lay offs were announced.
This communication strategy is difficult to deal with. Anyone else have thoughts that we should stage a walk out or all call out?
Productivity has been way down since April 25th anyway.

I have zero motivation to do any of my duties and only reason i haven't logged off is that other people depend on me. I am not going above and beyond anything any more. What are they gonna do? Fire me??
I'm not training anyone if my job is eliminated or goes to GSC. 3M Management can eat me. No severance is worth that disrespect of having to train replacement.
The company just doesn’t care about preventing any angst. They waiting a full 2.5 months in 2019 before notifying the 2,000 affected by Roman’s first significant culling. Back then, the cuts were announced in the Q1 earnings call and executed days before the Q2 earnings call so MR could say it was done. It really is amateur hour sometimes at the center.
Do they make the people losing their jobs to GSC train their replacements too?
Yep, still waiting for the great minds to figure this out. Worried they are singularly focused on figuring out who to let go, not thinking about what we need to be able to DO 6 months from now. We were told our org would have much more than 10% impact. Great....... We have already lost many GREAT people not willing to wait. Execs think they have control of us. In fact, many good people will be gone and the execs will realize they do not have control of us. And those of us left will be screwed. Let the spiral begin....or continue... I'm lining up escape plans now, as I am guessing many 3Mers are.
Leadership is horrendous for taking this long, making all employees stress and wait to see if they have a job. They even promoted, vetted, and terminated Vale in a shorter amount of time…
Same for our team, we have heard we losing our jobs to GSC. No word, even though we can see the wheels in motion moving quickly. This is absolute mental abuse!
MTE here been waiting since EO new structure announcement. Heard they cleaned up CBG, but no news on my group yet. Making us wait a month is straight up mental torture. Whats even worse is that we cant even advocate for ourselves, not even our managers or their managers. Tireman is clueless on what getting rid of MTE team will do to this company.
