Mental Health Awareness Meeting

Thoughts on Lisa Pintner's mental health awareness meeting today?

She was Ill equipped to run it imo being so close in time to a mental issue herself as shared.

The person who leads this needs have gone through all the s,&t we have arrived on the other side.

I felt it was the typical Cisco box checking effort to say hey "we had a mental health awareness meeting"

Good idea, poor execution.

Look at the slido comments - despair, sadness etc... nearly everyone in the negative.

Cisco people who joined this webinar are hurting

Most mental health problems are caused by actually believing what is posted here :P

Most mental health problems are caused by bullying mgrs in Cisco. Unfortunately they are very common across many orgs. Instead of giving such lectures, this lower and middle mgmt should be fired and hierarchy should be flattened

I didn’t join because I think these things are a waste of time. I’m tired of Cisco constantly spamming me with mental health bullsh-t.

One of the meanest VPs should not be leading this session

Cisco managers should be the first ones to receive thorough education on mental health awareness. Their actions are causing mental health issues among their own employees, a situation that is both troubling and unacceptable. I’m perplexed as to why the ELT consistently chooses to ignore this serious problem. The mental well-being of their employees should be their top priority.

Mental health is mental health…I guess if you have privilege.

I know Cisco ER/HR and leadership don't care at all about employees well being or mental health. I know what they did and what they allowed their managers and leaders do to my wife.

They gave not one F! Promoted the person who did the most damage.

They pretend concern for our mental health and yet they are happy with the culture of constant layoffs hanging over our heads? Doesn’t quite tally up does it.

I got an invite to join a mental health webinar. Just a brief description. Seemed like a good idea. When I joined, the meeting was targeted to Cisco Black Professionals, and the extra burden the Black community faces regarding mental health. I hung around on the webinar for about 15 minutes. Mental health is mental health, amirite? Anyway, it veered towards cultural aspects soon enough and I left. I was puzzled as to why it was explicitly stated who the target audience was for this session.
