Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Of course

Why not get rid of one of the few guys left in upper management who seemed interested in doing the right thing and who knew what he was doing? That fits perfectly into this "leadership's" incomprehensible agenda (and I use the term leadership very, very loosely).

Sounds like they laid off one of the victims/participant/witness to the situation. At this point, the victim or witness no longer had anything to lose. As a victim of a past 3M supervisor, you have to have proof and witnesses and if you don’t, reporting makes the situation worse. HR will gaslight you if you report, they’ll send the perp on a 12 week paid vacation for ‘health reasons’ and when they come back, the victim will be in a worse situation. What they had on Mike had to be good including consensual with direct reports, quid pro quo harassment, travel, receipts, use of company resources and most importantly, witnesses. 3M will protect the managers unless there are witnesses. It helps if the witnesses to a quid pro quo situation are male.

Mike Vale is an arrogant, narcissistic as$hole. In the first Townhall when he took over SIBG he commented on hoping he would get more questions than he did in CBG or HCBG. Then he proceeded to tease and belittle the first three questions. Result - only “yes man” questions going forward. Good riddance.

Vale was a jerk and literally said he didn’t care if employees were happy at their job or not, only cared about production at a town hall in 2019. I’m just disappointed it took this long for him to go

Mike Vale was and id--t. He didn’t know anything about leading people or businesses. More than 11 years milking the VP cow. First good decision from Roman. This gives me hope for a brighter future at 3M.

If you are talking about Vale, you are nuts if you think he knew what he was doing. The guy acted supremely confident, but I assure you he had no fu----g clue how his business actually worked.

Is vale now part of the 6000? Maybe someone gets to keep their job since vale has been cut loose????

You mean get rid of the first guy who led Aero to which most our liability is tied to? That guy? Sure. Great leader.
