Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Age discrimination lawsuit?

When I worked here, there was a program that paid employees to retire as long as they were 60 years old. When I left, I tried to get that same benefit and was told by HR that it was not allowed any longer. I'm wondering if any other former employees are looking at ways to challenge that. I wonder if it's related to the "no suit clause" that they want employees to sign.

Can't wait to see the responses, thanks

If they thought they were exposed they wouldn’t have done it. A public company as big as xerox (even in its deteriorated state) is smart enough to not try to cut a few salaries at the risk of 10x-100x or more in litigation.

It’s unsatisfying to hear but the courts are not on the side of labor.

No. First all that was ages ago. Second how can ending a bridge to retirement program be age discrimination. Third, ever try to sue a large corporation? The lawyers get paid…
