Management is happy with the layoffs and outsourcing. Means higher stock price and easy money for allocated stock options for senior management. The management is expecting more layoffs until the end of the year that way don’t need to make formal announcements like other companies.

Agree with prior poster. Everyone who doesn't have a contract is in the same boat.
Probably even some of those too they just have a better cushion. Also many people at that level prefer employees or more employees to outsourcing but it isn't up to them.
Things have worked this way for at least a decade. Rarely is an announcement made.
If you just noticed either you are new or have been lucky to be in an insulated department or country.
Who do you mean by management? Other than the very top tier, we are not happy with any layoffs. That’s an uninformed way of looking at things. L4 and L5 managers are right there with you. Constant worry about getting terminated ourselves.
