It is very obvious that imperial is getting ready to sell Kearl and other Upstream assets. We are seeing a reduction in opex and capital spend. Plus the risk of a lawsuit for its disregard to the environment. Losing credibility with the community and license to operate.

I have a relative that is in a management position in CNRL. He says they've been in talks with imperial for the last few months. He's not high enough to know about what exactly. Who knows?
I wonder why they don’t chop off some management people!! That will for sure reduce the OpEx burden.

I will say, it's very similar to what was happening at Shell before they sold and we didn't find out until the last minute.
The future isn't looking too bright there bud.

It would seem so, based solely on the poor business decision making that management is doing inverse of the other big players.
