Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Change teams (Travel)

We all know this company is a sh-t show at this point, but with the current labor market, would it be worth/feasible switching teams? If yes, which teams have it easier? What would that process look like?

There have been lots of shoulder tapping in the good ol boy club from Axa lately. Anyone else notice this? No job postings but suddenly we got a gang who all worked together. Never change Corebridge. Still a pig with lipstick.

Be careful about the team. Postings get done. The management guys asks you to apply pretending that they want employees internally to apply. Meanwhile the department head already has made up mind to hire somebody from their former employer. The applying employee is made to look like a fool. They don’t give internal employees the same salary level offered in the posting. They are just transferred at their current level., if the employee fails interview they get laid off. So too scary to think about applying internally for a growth. Management has come up with another innovative way to layoff employees.

It depends by the Country in which you live and the people filling management roles. If your manager su*x, your working life will be the same, even if yours is the best job in the world. I work in Claims, and I like It

OP - if you are already in travel you’re out of luck, those people at Texas spend most of their day on the phone, from what I’ve heard.
