As much as some would like to leave because of RTO, I don't believe that many will actually end up leaving because of it. Or am I wrong?

Hey it’s me Spineless again. Sorry I said unnecessarily cruel things about my WFH colleagues. I’m insecure and don’t like myself very much. :/
Many large companies are pushing RTO, but most of these are CEOs with big egos and a need to lord over their minions. More progressive companies still see the value of being able to recruit global talent and the benefit gained by a remote staff. I mean managers can still track the work and effort their staff is doing if they app,ied themselves. Besides, I shouldn’t have had to move to Florida to reap the benefit of WFH. I personally have enjoyed getting back to the office a couple times a week and I think the leadership team should start there, before deciding three days a week is needed.
The majority of wfh are considered already gone! Wether you leave or not has very little impact. We may send you packing to spare you the tough decision. Bye bye
The snowbirds who flocked to Florida during Covid were given permission to be dedicated remote employees, and their Workday status states this.
They will not be forced back into the office. Maybe more periodic returns to their home office for quarterly or bi-annual check ins.
My group which is a global function still has not had RTO communicated to us. Our VP still tells us if we can do our job from home then she won’t force us to change. Anyhow, I’m not opposed to going into the office as I enjoy in person engagement. But I will add that every job I’m interviewing for advertises as being a remote position. Looks like many companies are embracing the WFH and trying to attract that talent.
Agreed people will just play along, badge in and go home when there work/meetings are over.
The WFH hold outs could be in trouble, IDK how HR will deal with this issue. Lets see including the snow birds who flew to FLA during Covid to WFH and sold there homes
I dont think it will be a mass exodus. But I would bet overtime there are people that leave because of it. Will start putting applications out and what not. Of course its a smaller percentage that is dead set of WFH. For the majority, I bet people just deal with it.
