Ford is trying to transform around BEV. However, Ford’s number one market and where overwhelmingly the profit comes from in the North American market. The North American market, specifically the USA, is remarkably resistant to BEV vehicles at the moment - market share still less than 2% of total market despite being the home of Tesla and more BEV choices than ever.
Anyone with even half a brain can see this is slow motion car wreck in progress. Betting all you money and nearly all you new model launches in the next 5 years in products people are generally lukewarm about doesn’t seem like a successful strategy.
