I have been with Medtronic over 30 years and have seen pi-s poor management when the CEO is a bean counter. Art Collins did nothing. Geoff GE boy wonder another bean counter with business degree and knows nothing.
The bean counter types always fall into the traps of short term cost cutting and reorgs strategies. Both of which are short sighted and bullsh-t. They are NOT innovator types NOR visionaries who can really move the needle. They should only be allowed to manage companies that make $1 plastic widgets out of China.
