“It's not Bill Hawkins' fault that the stock is where it is, but he is the CEO of the company and the board had to do something."

Under Hawkins' leadership, shares of the Minneapolis-based company have declined nearly 30 percent”

Meanwhile under the exemplary leadership of the king of restructuring GM, Stock is down 41% and board is quiet.

Looks like Geoff found this thread guys.

Hey Geoff, MDT is behind it's own peers. Nice of you to pick Intuitive...a company with essentially 1 product. Why don't you pick an actual peer like Boston, Abbott or JnJ.

JnJ - 119 > 163 since 2020
Abbott - 68 > 103 since 2020
Boston - 27 > 50 since 2020

Then theres Geoff's MDT which is 118 > 79 across that time period

The data is clear as day go look at it yourself.

I think a person has to look at the broader environment in this assessment. Look at intuitive surgical, they are down about 30% from their peak. Intuitive is a super profitable company with a very dominant position in surgical robotics. Not saying leaders shouldn’t be held accountable at some point but are the people making the comments only looking at this situation in isolation?? Why is intuitive down 30% as well if Geoff is the only one to blame at MDT? Boston’s stock is doing well but Abbott is down about 25%. I would like to know the deeper reason to what got MDT behind.
