If you were on a PIP last year in Permian please start job hunting. Don’t allow yourself to be in a bad situation. With the OPEX pressure fewer will be allowed to pass the PIP this year.

Please start looking. I will have to fire you if you are in the Permian. Mandate came down to not pass anyone who is NSI in Permian to reach OPEX target.
If your purchased those people will be sacrificed . Ask Mobil people in 2005 and XTO people in 2016 and now.
Many people coming with the new company will move to the company they want, happens all the time, specially during acquisitions

I doubt it. With a future acquisition, XTO will need more people
