Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Wasteful Whining Workers

Don’t waste your time and internet resources to complain about GM’s working conditions.

We told you to RTO
You complained
We fired 500 people to show you our night
You took notice
Then we offered bribe to the lazy ones to leave
Some of the lazy ones still did not take it
Now don’t complain. If you did not take the VSP, it’s not our fault- we gave you enough warning and chance.

Get back to work and March in line.

Thank Mary for your hope.

She cancelled the ISP.

April is National Month of Hope, which is all about celebrating the power of hope — the belief that things will work out, especially when it seems otherwise. God Bless.

“We have to be good to China or they may stop sending us microchips.”
American corporations can have those microchips made in America, Mexico, India… anywhere.
We should never “be nice” to communist countries that employ slave labor and harvest organs from ethnic groups. China should be grateful for our trade dollars.

We need China! They build most of the electronics for this country. All of our major corporations and richest business owners - of both political parties - are allowed to offshore their workforce to save money. We have to be good to China or they may stop sending us microchips. Haven't you thought of that??

Brands that are on the brink of collapse because we BOYCOTTED them!

Here come the intellectuals: "Gilette and Budweiser"
Gillette and Budweiser are BRANDS, not COMPANIES.
Please tell me you don't work for GM.

Yeah! Go woke go broke!

We boycotted the NFL and Gilette and Budweiser! And we absolutely destroyed those companies! When is the last time you ever heard of NFL, Gilette, or Budweiser?!

They work cheap and it's hard for them to leave an employer.

If they get laid off, they have 60 days to find another job that will sponsor them, or go home.

The ideal worker.

I've never seen so much jibberish packed into one thread. If you can't make a point that others can understand, you're not making a point.

Remember your Disney training? The engraved name tags? Are you setting on the fence or an instrument of change?

We all remember where we were when 911 happened.
It will feel the same way the day Ch*** finally invades Taiwan.
We will all look to our respectable commander in chief for comfort and assistance.
I hope there's enough Cobalt and Lithium in Los Angeles to get us through.

Relying on other countries, especially hostile ones, for your supply chain and personnel is just courting business failure.

Just remember that GM sponsored BLM.

With all of the DEI struggle sessions we are forced to attend and commit to on our CAP, I'm totally disconnected from caring. I have too much experience, education and pride to be demoralized with this woke/social justice garbage. Were we hired to make cars or are we working for a non-profit? I used to love working for GM and was proud and loyal. That ended with the lies and gaslighting.
Some of you are living in fear of a layoff.
They can come and get me.
How is DEI working out for Anheuser-Busch these days?
Proctor and Gamble lost $5.24 billion in sales when Gillette went woke.

Where do GM's political contributions go?

Just remember, you haven't seen anything yet. Ask yourself how CH invading Taiwan will affect GM's ablity to secure it's supply chain. How many of GM's car parts are made in CH? How much of GM's profit margin is reliant on CH?
In 2023 Q1, GM sales in China have already dipped by 25%.
"Sales decreased at all five GM brands in the country, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Baojun and Wuling."

EVs may be the future, but most of GM's sales now are ICE.

Tesla isn't a competitor now, especially when you consider the number of vehicles each company sells each year of any type, EV or not.

GM will see another belt tightening soon as Tesla has announced yet another price reduction. The ones who think they are saved for now are actually the ones who did not take up the lucrative exit from the snake pit.
