Why have no heads rolled? Meanwhile the average employee is out in the bottom of the ranking bin for some BS reason like not communicating technical topics in a non technical manner.

Heads have rolled. Many who joined proxima are no longer with exxon. They have been piped, retired or fired. All the californians from materia quit and went back to california. I was one of the ones fired because they had to blame someone. A contractor was also fired because he was not trained correctly on this toxic mess.
"The geniuses who promoted Proxxima" have already been retired. Guys, Proxxima is a complete technical and commercial failure. The technical folks cannot figure out how to make it work. There are insurmountable problems with the poisons and with the process. It will be shut down very soon. There is nothing we can do about it. A terrible business decision. KM, SH, and the rest of the gang sold snake oil to DW and he bought it.

@fa and the cash that would have been burned to maintain NRE protection is also not significant to the bottom line. What is your point? The geniuses who promoted Proxxima had zero business acumen.
Why would people who coat pipes want to ise Proxxima? It is applied differently and kn a much more manual way. So their existing production systems for coating pipes would need to be scrapped and they would have to replace with equipment that applies a coating available from a single supplier that is more expensive? Explain to me why anyone would do this?
@cq you need to find a use case where is is more economic. No one wants to pay more for a product that isn’t better than cheaper alternatives that already exist and are proven.
@fd downstreamers are taking over. Anyone else seeing downstreamers with zero upstream experience being placed as advisors and project managers on upstream projects they have zero experience with while up streamers are put on PIPs and tanked in the rankings? What is going on? What is driving this? Is it just the downstream club protecting their pals?
downstream executives forcing it on upstream..when issues are taken up the libe, they are squashed or declared irrelevant by managers on instruction from ‘above’….
just like light weight proppant..
just like algae..
just like hydrogen..
just like lithium..
and so many more
downstreamers looking to take over upstream..

For a stodgy and risk-averse corporation like EM, Proxxima is an example of a true niche business gamble. While they may be burning through some cash (and people), it's not like this is really significant to the overall bottom line.
Good for EM doing something out-of-the-ordinary. If it doesn't pan out, you can be sure the doom and gloom currently entrenched through all of the business lines will continue until you're all let go or retired.
A textbook example of something that’s a technical success but a commercial failure.
The company put a lot of $ into this with no payback.
@cq is Proxxima better than what we currently use under insulation? From what I have seen it is nothing special just more expensive.
We need proxxima for downstream coating in CUI service. Currently it’s being tested to broaden its use case, but right now it’s use cases are too limited
The hoax is that Exxon will ever make a penny from it.
