@2sjs+1m31foBb That only works if the majority of the team is NOT on the friends and family plan
1980-2010 the right people would of been voted off the island
2010-2019 maybe 50% chance of the right people being voted off the island
2019-present at best 20% chance of the right people being voted off the island

Ford needs to do what Tesla did. Let go of people who are no longer perform or needed.
It should all be put to a vote. Each group should vote for who they want to keep on their team. Only the LL and HR should see the results and then issue the termination(s) accordingly. Teams know how to select the best people to work with. And if you don't get in where you fit in - you'll be outta here!
I get that people who have been there a while want to get their pension. But come on, too many people are hanging on to try to get to 35+ years. Time to go. Let people get to 30 years, then terminate if they aren't producing.
Previous poster is correct Ford involuntaries are mostly about reducing future pension liabilities
I believe GM has no pension due to bankruptcy. So there’s no incentive for people to leave and take lump sum like in November 2022.
Alternatively there’s no incentive to stay for any engineer due to lack of pension credits accumulating each year.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Nah, I knew these cheap ba----ds at Ford would not follow GM's lead on this. They already can let go anyone they want and way cheaper, with the PEP. Besides, something is cooking up at Ford. It is too quiet up there, especially after "losing" billions, and I don't trust any of them in the C suite. We'll see what they have in stock for us.
