Any word on how employees who were hired as fully remote are be treated or employees who live over an hour away now that they moved everyone to Purchase?

@1gs I am aware of fully remote employees getting promotions. It may be because they are young females.
@bt And you are told you can never receive an above expectation rating. Note, none of this is put in writing, only explained verbally so the employee can't take action against it.
@bt what about the other PepsiCo facilities? When all your coworkers are in India and Mexico why does it matter which location you work from in the U.S.A?
@pd It is TRUE!
@dy this is beyond false
@c9 that is a great thread. 🪡
@bt actually you can apply they just aren’t moving you if you get it.
Remote employees are applying and being promoted to internal (slated for them) positions.
@c8 there are managers and directors (not directly over the front-line) who do not ever come into an office. Why are they not coming to a PEP desk at a PEP facility? Home office and gym must be nice.
@a6 they closed White Plains a few years ago adding to most employee's commutes
True- sr directors make over $300k
And if remote- that’s is a sweet deal
Check out the “are we paid fairly” thread. People share their salaries.
Lol, we literally have a remote Sr. Director on our team. Such a punishment: not letting them get a promotion while banking on $300k+ and living wherever they like.
@OP fully remote employees cannot apply to any internal positions nor can they get promoted. Pretty much stuck where they are. The rule is that you must be close to one of the major office locations; Plano, Purchase or Chicago.
Just don’t say anything unless your boss addresses you specifically
@OP who did they move to purchase? Is the NYC office closing??
