This nothing more than thinning the herd. You'll see others who are perform get the PIP treatment. If you don't have a connection, you are cannon fodder.

I know a couple PSG 25s who aren't very good at their individual contributor jobs and make a ton of mistakes when it comes to getting their work done and ready for operations. They've both already been told by current supervisors they need to improve. I'm sure they think this is just some unfair political bs to cut headcount as well. But make no mistake about it, those two people should be performing much better than they are and since they're not, are going to earn their PIP at the end of the year.
