While some may survive this round of layoffs the outlook of Medtronic short term and long term is not good. While we continue to struggle with back orders and and losing market share, our competitors are going to thrive while Medtronic becomes the next GE. This should be a wake up call to all of us to find new opportunities with real leaders and a meaningful mission. Sad to think this but it will just be a matter of time.

I agree with you that short and long term the outlook doesn’t look good. These layoffs won’t be the last of them, outlook is terrible for the future of MDT while our competitors stock overtook us. When the last time that happened? Idk but probably a while. Not good when investment firms double downgrade your stock and go from but to sell and states there is risk to sales and earning per share for the next two years at least. Not good
