If those who are selected to go to SpinCo are telling the truth, namely that they did not receive any additional information about pay and benefits, then this is definitely the least transparent company I have ever worked for. How is it possible that they did not provide this information?

Health care companies pay very well. But with the legacy mentality of parentco, im sure we wont get paid well.
For the poster saying the OP is dim as it was not intended to be a detailed compensation letter, clearly you are a degenerate on the SpinCo team that is inflicting this on your colleagues. Defending the action of telling employees they have a job, but cannot tell them what they will be compensated, is ridiculous. If 3M doesn’t have it figured out then they should either keep their mouth shut or stop playing grab a$$ at their id--tic “workshops” and get it figured out. By the way do you know what happens when you call HR to ask? They say the information is currently not available. Just like the Leadership, totally worthless.
It’s a sh---y way to let folks know. Call a Fu----g Teams meeting at 8:00 so that they get the email and a live announcement of what’s happened and what come’s next - it’s not that hard.
The OP is either really dim or just spreading fear. The letter is meant to show intention on who goes to spinco, not a detailed compensation letter. Get a grip and reach out to hr to get clarification. It’s not that difficult.
Spinco pays what it pays
OP+1m1TASNt - Some of the HR total rewards (comp and ben) plan designs have not been finalized, so that’s why there’s no indication of what they will be yet and therefore can’t be communicated.
They may have decided to extend some of the letters for retention purposes since many are skittish being stuck in New 3M
