The last few years at Lowes have been difficult, to say the least. When I worked for other retailers, their definition of leaders was true to their word. At Lowes, the CEO talks about leadership but he is so wrong. Leaders build character, train, coach etc. Where is that at Lowes? When things are not going well, sales, inventories, etc, leaders build confidence, not at Lowes. At Lowes, it’s the opposite, they point out all of the bad, nothing good, and threaten your job. When the annual employee survey comes out, there is a question about would you recommend Lowes as a place to work for, he-l no. Fix your house Mr CEO.

I am giving you the day off which is historically the slowest day of the year anyhow and I am going to look like a real religious guy and this will dovetail nicely with my God Bless schtick. And by the way that is an unpaid day. God bless.
