Pure Storage has announced plans to develop a 300TB flash drive by 2026 that would outpace other disk drive capacity roadmaps. The company's Direct Flash Modules (DFMs) are essentially collections of NAND chips with the company's operating system, Purity, providing system-wide flash controller functions. However, the technology required to produce DFMs with such high capacity is still evolving, and there is a risk that Pure Storage may not be able to deliver on its promises. Flash drives also have a limited lifespan, and reliability issues could arise with larger capacity drives. Nonetheless, if Pure Storage is successful, it could give customers access to a whole new suite of capabilities.

Pure Storage? Try to purchase a new drive from Pure Storage and good luck with that.
The only threat to WDC HDDs is bad management. Best products in a market shouldnt loose margins and market share like WDC HDDs have.
