We only get one shot at this thing called life, right? So why waste our time working at a place where nobody appreciates us? I mean, sure, getting a pat on the back every once in a while feels good, but that's not enough. We deserve to work somewhere that values both us and our contributions. Life's too short to settle for anything less than the best. Let's make the most of it and find a job that makes us truly happy and fulfilled.

Like another poster I have worked in a number of companies, from Fortune 50 to nonprofits. Every place has politics, unfairness, d-mb decisions…in other words they are run by people. Your company won’t make you happy, you are responsible for that. Our careers are just one part of us, and we steer our personal life ships.
If you are asking all white men on strike, I see several problems with this:
- All black and brown men and women can be on strike as well, this country won’t function with all these human beings as well.
- the reason most people won’t be on strike is because most of people have mortgages to pay and children to raise.
- Honestly, Medtronic is not a terrible company, it is just like all other B grade companies.
- you work you get paid, that’s the contract between you and your company. You are free to leave,, but sooner or late, you will find out that all companies are pretty much the same.
- The only thing you can do is to change yourself, you can be inspired to be Geoff Martha, then you can make up the rules! How about flaunting two Rolex Daytonas on both wrists while announcing laying off all brown/black men and women?
Unrealistic!
This is absolutely naïve. There's no place you will be absolutely happy as an employee. All places are pretty much the same. For a person who have been cycled through more than fifteen companies, in my honest opinion, Medtronic is not bad. As an employee, you you do your work and you collect a paycheck. This is life.
