What did everyone think? Sure was a lot of positivity for missing everywhere under the sun regarding AOP this year, but meeting external expectations. Can this be tied to leadership being disconnected from what is realistic for us to achieve?

If we’re exclusively featuring diverse talent on external facing communications, please add their names and titles. It’s all FAKE!!!
Let’s pray to Earl Bakken for raises on par with Executive Leadership.
Medtronic is now a mediocre company with Geoff’s tenure. Everything that made Medtronic unique is long gone and new hires won’t know the difference.
Nothing like flashing your $15k Rolex Daytona while talking about layoffs.
town hall felt like attempted brainwashing. Things are bad, going to get worse before they get better, but they want people to believe its all under control and the strategy is fine. Meanwhile Geoff boy keeps rewinding the Op Model while claming he is not, they put quality reporting to Operations (huge red flag), and OU presidents and GMs are leaving the company. Oh and its going to be a "not good" year for MIP. Keep smiling and fill out your OHS questions, folks.
SO is the surgical operating unit (SI+SR are being combined)
Hey, the new guy no one cares about is dog guy! He also showed up my house in car with no exhaust!!!
No MIP, but check out my Rolex as I gesture to the camera!
Oh, and obligatory tear jerker story!
What’s the SO BU?
My take away, SI and SR LCOV leadership teams will be replaced with saving under performing MDT leaders. MDT is cutting all ties to the new SO BU.
Sad but true. IMHO
I didnt get anything meaningful from that townhall (except when he confirmed there would be layoffs). Didnt go into detail about his "roadmap" at all.
Thank you in advance to your service to ex GE wonder Geoff’s $30M package this year. He can’t take anything less than another 26% raise this year, so many heads will be sacrificed to ensure he gets what he deserves
Does he have anything against that could comprise the board? Why is the board of directors asleep? Bill Hawkins was fired when stock was -30% during. The Great Depression. Right now stock is down -45%
We have went from BU model to OU model and now slowly going back to BU model and Covidien is such a hot mess of a disaster which the wonder boy managed but smartly doesn’t talk about it anymore lol
