Bub, I retired from 3M last November after 35 years due to healthcare spin off. Understandable that you are frustrated and dealing with difficult times, but please be careful to not disclose 3M confidential technologies or business information . This is a public format.

@bub+1lxfHYjp Yeah, sure, it was "voluntary" with mileage paid - but not a good sign - no matter how much lipstick you apply. This is just the start - rumors of much more on the way for Menomonie in May. The products made in Menomonie are sucking wind. The DMSD plans for microreplication are "pie-in-the-sky" with very little basis in reality. For instance, the AXXF films - a temporary band-aid until Samsung comes along with OLED in a year or two - then its lights out for Menomonie.

Menomonie salaried was laid off yesterday. Included a lot of engineers, CI, some tech supervisors, quality techs. Full count was 22 employees, specifically:

  • 2 technical supervisors (process engineering)
  • 2 CIs
  • 13 engineers/technologists (primarily T1s and T2s; includes employees who just started at 3M as O2s in July 2022)
  • 4 quality techs
  • 1 stockroom employee

It was voluntary with mileage paid, they aren't just sending workers to RW.
