Carman have been layed off in ever increasing amounts as of late. If they had enough carman, the derailment in palistine oh. would have never happened. Let this be a lesson that car kn-----s are the backbone of the railroad.......Period

Wasn’t an NS Carmen who outbound inspected the east Palestine train either.
Man Power is always the answer to everything and anything wrong with the railroad. Alot of knowledge is walking out the door by retirement or resignation, without being replaced. Those that are left have stopped caring because of the abuse by the company and supervision. They should have hired 5 years ago to be ready 5 years from now. In ten years, the railroad will have a turnstile with completely uneducated, unexperienced employees who DGAF and don't know what to GAF about. NS and Shaw are lying about all or any improvements that are supposed to come. No changes until the current lower level supervisors are ousted and employees are hired.
I been working on De Railroad all the live long day.
Most Carmen have no idea what they are fu----g looking at. So, if you hire more Carmen, then they are trained by the mo--ns, you will just have more Carmen having no idea what they are fu----g looking at. So, the good Carmen who does know what he’s looking at will now look at less cars. Meaning, hiring Carmen will make the rails less safe. Cheers.
Working Hot Bearing Detectors would have prevented this mess. But not a peep out of anyone about that.
Uprr laid off many Carmen too.
we will derail again
