I am interested in a position at EM titled “Senior Exploration Geoscientist Professional”
I have 12 years at a major in european exploration.
Should I run? What is the pay range? Is there anything positive to this company?

As a former experienced hire, the company will lure you in, wring you dry, and sp-t you out when you are no longer useful. Don’t expect a long term career or have any say in your career.
OP I'm surprised by your question. Haven't you read the posts here? This is not a company to join, much less in the USA or Europe. Darren wants to make an Indian company out of Exxon. PERIOD. All jobs are being moved to India. Absolutely all of them. Very few jobs will remain in the US. All technical jobs are being shipped to India even if the guys over there don't know anything of anything. Let's be honest, the top Indian students don't stay in India. They go to Europe or the US. A few return but not for the kinds of jobs Exxon offers. So, you will be hired because we are hiring any warm body that comes through the door. You will get paid 200K maybe 250K for a couple of years. On your third year you will be NSIed and pushed out. Is this really what you want for your career? Just stay wherever you are. You are doing great. Otherwise, come join us in he-l.
There is no downside to applying in hopes of an interview. If you are granted an interview and a future job offer, you do not have to accept the offer.
@OP Hard to answer without knowing your motivations.
If all you want is to get EM on your CV while collecting a decent paycheck, then go ahead and apply. If you’re looking for a long term career with a single company then you’re barking up the wrong tree. US companies stopped offering long-term careers some time ago.
No matter where you end up working, be sure to build your exit on the way in.
BTC is paid less for a reason. You get what you pay for!!!!

US based position, forget it. Stay where you are unless there is an overriding reason to take it. You'll hate your day to day experience, that's for sure

@ OP, hope this information is helpful in your decision-making process.
Yeah it seems like the long term plan is to move geoscience jobs to low cost countries with minimal staffing in US or Europe. Current upper management doesn't see geo as a core function for EM, but rather a support function and are staffing accordingly. If you actually land the position you might get a few years of work before the next cut or you get consumed by PIP. The latter is a real risk for experienced hires - they seem to cluster in the low ranks. Either way, just be ready to jump to something else in the near to medium term if you come here.

The cost of a Bengaluru employee is 1/5 to 1/7 the cost of a Houston or Brussels employee.

We'll just have you train your BTC counterpart until we cut you loose. Honestly you might have too much experience compared to recent hires. 220k-240k at that level.
