Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

I was hired six months ago

If I'm laid off, will I get any kind of severance? Can somebody point me to where I could find that info if nobody here knows? I'm asking because I left a decent job to switch to T-Mobile for better pay and now I'm worried I'm going to lose everything once the layoffs start. Thanks in advance for your answers!

Don’t wait for a severance. Use your time while getting paid by Tmo to find the job you want. Not a good place. Just a bunch of cr---h tacos waiting to take a pic with sievert or Freier to feel relevant. Got news for you Freier s job title is VP of reorganization. Every year he explores new ways to lay people off. I feel like they hire people so he has people to layoff and something to do. His bald head is only there to keep the Seattle rain out of his neck when he’s there.

T-Mobile is a great company. You’re going to be good. If you’re fantastic, it is highly unlikely that you will be laid out. If you’re not very good, then sure, you might be impacted. Sounds like you’re great, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

I am sorry you chose TMO. I worked there for 8 years and it used to be a great company. It’s no longer that great company. Your severance is 2 months plus 2 weeks per year. Could you go back to your original job? Sometimes they will be happy to have you back. Otherwise, ride it out and leave when you can get a better and more stable opportunity.
