  1. 5 % is not a good raise when inflation is double digit.

The ASMs are supposed to be sitting down with the employees now to tell them what their raise will be. If they haven’t said anything, it’s probably because your raise is pathetic and they know that it will pi-s you off.

I want something to be known right now: The managers in the stores are lying when they say that they have no control over the amount of your raise. The store manager can bump up your raise if he/she wants to. They can justify it to the district manager and they’ll do it. (That doesn’t mean they can give you a 50% raise!). As long as the store manager justifies it, and they can 99% of the time, then they have full latitude to give you more.

It drives me nuts when I hear stories of ASMs, HR, Store Managers or District staff telling people that they have no power over your raise. It’s a bald faced lie. If they are telling you this, then they simply don’t want to give you more. They’re being cheap and ignorant about it.

So if you get a 20 cent raise, look them straight in the eye and say “No”. I guarantee you, they’ll act surprised and make up some story. Then you ask to see the policy on wages and raises, which doesn’t exist and they’ll have to admit that they’re just being cheap a$$holes.

23 cents . That's all . But that's nothing right.. Every business I pass is hiring. So you can get a job there but where can you get paid as much as you do for what you do? Simple question.... if you can make more money elsewhere why are you still at Lowes?

If the raise is the typical 20 cent raise everyone needs to go out and find a new job before spring hits. let them run the stores with even less help than now and let the sales plummet off the cliff.
