Get ready TTS. If you are in India, you are going to be let go. Just a matter of time.

I understand, the exit from small countries (I'm in one of them)... but... wow, chop the entire team at once instead of progressively?
Overload the other two teams that are at completely different time zones? (7-12 hr difference)

Some decisions are just... not make much sense...

It would be awesome if TTS actually had a strategy. Only good thing they have done in years was moving to AWS. Of course all the leaders responsible for that are no longer at 3M.

No surprise TTS Mark has been clear he thinks the GSCs are a mistake.

Job responsibilities will be moving to Costa Rica and the Philippines.

I am trying to trust these are the best decisions for the company, seems like the cuts are far too deep and we will be too dependent on certain areas. We are losing so much good talent.

CIO intends to move all IT (TTS) to the cheapest location possible. No surprise. 3M TTS continues to be a dumpster fire!

The business model for the GSCs is business process execution and standard work. They’re not supposed to think - they’re supposed to follow instructions and press buttons. If any of you were expecting them to think and be flexible then that’s a problem on our side not theirs.

It is about time. Cutting or consolidating these tertiary ops is a great move

It is too bad that folks lost their jobs, but moving more to Cost Rica, come on! The Costa Rica team is the worst. No critical thinking, no knowledge behind why they do what they do. Just a bunch of lower paid zombies barely completing transactional tasks for an ERP that is a dumpster fire.

Global process teams will be clustered differently going forward. This is not anything new but is new to 3M. The polish gsc is regarded poorly when it comes to service and following procedures.

Entire ?

How will they get new SKUs generated, activate existing ?

And that’s not something that can be easily transferred to another GSC due to time zone differences.

Sorry to hear about these new job losses. How many people are affected by this ‘restructuring’? I suppose 3M has found even cheaper destinations to outsource labor, and this type is cull is happening under the radar. …sad affairs.
